📋 Description

• A Senior Phlebotomist at Natera plays a critical role in patient care by ensuring accurate and safe blood specimen collection, which directly supports diagnostic testing and early disease detection in oncology, women’s health, and organ health.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include verifying test requisitions and patient identity, performing venipunctures and finger sticks, maintaining specimen integrity through aseptic technique, tracking collections with proper labeling and timing, ensuring quality control, resolving discrepancies with clinical staff, managing PHI in both paper and electronic formats, handling billing inquiries, scheduling courier pickups, and completing required HIPAA and compliance training.
• The role is based onsite in Livonia, MI (Monday–Friday), within Natera’s specialized testing environment, where the employee contributes to a mission-driven organization focused on advancing personalized genetic testing and diagnostics.
• The Senior Phlebotomist will deepen expertise in clinical specimen handling, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, JCAHO), and laboratory workflows while gaining exposure to cutting-edge cfDNA testing processes and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, clinicians, and healthcare professionals.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by state)
