Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join Wade Trim’s Industrial Commercial Energy (ICE) Team as a Natural Gas Engineer and play a pivotal role in modernizing critical energy infrastructure across the southern United States. You will design and deliver high-impact natural gas projects—from distribution mains and transmission pipelines to metering & regulating stations and launcher/receiver assemblies—that keep communities safe, warm, and economically vibrant.
- • Own the full design lifecycle: translate client needs into technically sound, code-compliant solutions; perform civil site design, trenchless installation design, utility conflict analysis, and traffic control planning; and prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and permit packages that meet local, state, and federal standards.
- • Drive accuracy and accountability by preparing preliminary cost estimates, evaluating material quantities, and documenting every design change and client communication in a clear, traceable manner. Your meticulous records will become the backbone of successful project delivery and future maintenance planning.
- • Step out from behind the desk to conduct on-site observations, lead pre-construction meetings, and represent Wade Trim at client progress reviews, public hearings, and regulatory workshops. Your field presence will ensure constructability, safety, and client confidence from day one.
- • Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams—project managers, GIS specialists, environmental scientists, and construction managers—to balance technical excellence with schedule and budget realities. Your ability to synthesize complex data and present concise recommendations will keep projects on track and clients delighted.
- • Contribute to business growth by assisting in the preparation of winning proposals, technical narratives, and fee estimates. Your insight into emerging codes, technologies, and market trends will help Wade Trim stay ahead of the competition and expand its natural gas portfolio.
- • Champion safety and sustainability in every task: specify low-impact construction methods, integrate green design principles, and uphold Wade Trim’s industry-leading safety culture. Your designs will not only meet today’s needs but also anticipate tomorrow’s environmental and regulatory expectations.
- • Invest in your own future through Wade Trim’s robust professional development ecosystem—mentorship programs, rotation opportunities, technical seminars, and leadership workshops. Whether you aspire to become a project manager, technical expert, or strategic leader, the firm’s 100 % employee-ownership model ensures your growth directly fuels shared financial success.
- • Enjoy a flexible hybrid-remote schedule (after 30 days) that brings the team together in our vibrant New Orleans office at least three days a week while allowing focused remote work the rest of the time. This balance supports deep collaboration and personal well-being in equal measure.
- • Thrive in a culture where fresh ideas are celebrated. Wade Trim’s Office of Applied Technology actively solicits staff suggestions for new software, drones, AR/VR, or AI tools that can enhance project delivery. Your next breakthrough idea could become a firm-wide standard and reshape how natural gas infrastructure is engineered across the region.
