- • The Claims Examiner - Recovery role at Sedgwick is a critical position focused on managing high-exposure, complex, multi-jurisdictional claims with an emphasis on identifying and pursuing third-party subrogation recoveries. This role directly contributes to cost containment and financial recovery for clients across industries, supporting Sedgwick’s mission to deliver exceptional service during unexpected events.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating recovery potential through investigation and feasibility analysis, developing and negotiating subrogation claims, overseeing litigation and vendor management, ensuring accurate claim documentation and reporting, approving claim payments, preparing client status reports, and mentoring peers as a subject-matter expert. The role requires travel as needed and adherence to jurisdictional and client-specific guidelines.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- • Six (6) years of multi-jurisdictional liability claims handling experience (including general liability, auto liability, products, subrogation, and/or workers compensation)
- • Demonstrated jurisdiction knowledge and licensing specific to Louisiana (LA)
- • Professional certification relevant to the line of business preferred
- • Ability to handle work-related stress, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment and discretion
