  • • Serve as an expert claims professional managing individual and portfolio-level insurance claims for commercial clients across diverse industries, ensuring adherence to industry best practices in claims handling, reserve adequacy, and settlement protocols.
  • • Act as a claims advocate and liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to resolve disputes, reduce total cost of risk, and simplify complex claim processes.
  • • Collaborate with insurance company partners and clients to establish, review, and enhance claims protocols, policy terms, and reporting standards to improve claim outcomes and compliance.
  • • Conduct regular claim reviews with clients and carriers to evaluate claim status, reserve accuracy, and adherence to settlement guidelines, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
  • • Develop and implement customized claims management solutions tailored to client needs, focusing on risk mitigation strategies that reduce claim frequency, severity, and associated costs.
  • • Mentor and train internal colleagues on claims handling techniques, regulatory updates, and best practices in commercial insurance claims, serving as a technical resource and subject matter expert.
  • • Attend client meetings to present the firm’s claims mitigation and resolution approach, contributing to business development and policy renewal opportunities through expert insight and relationship building.
  • • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, legal and regulatory changes, and evolving claims outcomes in areas including workers’ compensation, property & casualty, management liability, and professional liability.
  • • Interpret and analyze complex insurance documents such as coverage letters, reservation of rights notices, profit and loss statements, safety rules, and operational manuals to inform claims decisions.
  • • Prepare and deliver detailed summaries of claims reviews, activities, and recommendations to Advisors, the Director of Risk Mitigation, and other stakeholders as required.
  • • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when engaging with clients, carriers, and internal teams at all organizational levels, adapting tone and detail to audience needs.
  • • Apply common sense judgment to execute instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form, ensuring accuracy and consistency in claims administration.
  • • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis, reporting, and documentation of claim activities and client interactions.
  • • Align all professional conduct with the firm’s core values and culture, reflecting integrity, collaboration, and client-centric service.
  • • Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities for claims-related service enhancements that increase client retention and new client acquisition.
  • • Maintain accurate and current claim records across client portfolios in compliance with internal systems and regulatory expectations.
  • • Leverage expertise in policy coverage review and dispute resolution to guide clients through contested claims and coverage disagreements.
  • • Remain responsive to evolving client needs and industry shifts by continuously updating professional knowledge and adapting claims strategies accordingly.
