- • The Claims Specialist/Claim Consultant in the Complex Claims Unit – Bodily Injury is a senior-level role responsible for managing The Hartford’s most complex, high-value long-tail claims, including asbestos, sexual molestation/harassment, sports-related head injury, opioid, and toxic tort cases, often involving litigation, multiple years of coverage, and significant financial exposure.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include independently managing complex claims from investigation to resolution, conducting thorough analyses of insurance policies, preparing accurate coverage positions, managing litigation and counsel, negotiating settlements, attending mediations and trials, maintaining claims metrics, and leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance claim reviews and support data-driven decision-making.

🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of latent bodily injury claim handling experience
- • Experience in affirmative/defensive risk transfer, including additional insured tenders
- • Active Property & Casualty State Insurance Adjuster license
- • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word and Excel
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Proven track record of effective negotiation and settlement of high-value general liability claims
