- • Translate schools' accounting requirements into accurate Clarity software configurations, collaborating with implementation teams on complex or non-standard setups.
- • Review and validate school account configurations in Clarity to identify setup errors and edge cases before they result in downstream financial issues.
- • Advise school clients on appropriate accounting treatments for their specific financial situations, including correcting misapplications of accounting principles.
- • Support monthly account reconciliations for school clients and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- • Assist school clients in preparing for audits by ensuring accurate, compliant, and well-documented financial records within the Clarity platform.
- • Analyze client account mapping structures and recommend improvements aligned with accounting best practices.
- • Serve as the primary accounting subject-matter expert and escalation point for implementation and client success teams.
- • Diagnose recurring client issues to determine whether they stem from configuration gaps, training deficiencies, or product limitations, and relay findings to the product team.
- • Develop and document repeatable playbooks, processes, and training materials to scale the accounting support function, including defining which tasks should be handled by Client Success Managers.
- • Attend regular team and company meetings to align on priorities, share insights, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
- • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the growth and operational needs of the Client Experience team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Current CPA license in good standing
- • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, bookkeeping, outsourced accounting services, or a related accounting profession
- • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
- • Experience working in software systems that act as a subsidiary ledger for organizations (ideally a billing system)
- • Comfortable explaining accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders
- • Advanced spreadsheet skills
