📋 Description
- • Cloud Engineer (AWS) role at Cloudscaler Inc. in London, UK, working with customers across the UK and requiring travel to customer sites up to 3 days per week onsite.
- • Salary: £45,000 - £70,000.
- • Defence/SC Clearance Requirements: SC clearance required for customer-facing teams, with the ability to pass DV clearance advantageous but not essential.
- • Due to the nature of the project, only UK-based applicants are accepted.
- • Cloudscaler is an expert in AWS landing zones, cloud risk mitigation, and cloud operating models, working with public and private sector enterprise organisations.

- • Key responsibilities include building, testing, packaging, deploying, and operating cloud platforms, automating the build of infrastructure resources, packaging services into AMIs, Docker containers, or Serverless deployments, and delivering platform improvements and new tools.
- • The role requires experience with AWS resources, Terraform, Python for Lambda development, Shared Responsibility model, and AWS security services.

🎯 Requirements
- • Experience building AWS resources using Terraform or other IaC, competent in Python for Lambda development
- • Understands the Shared Responsibility model, the key challenges when using AWS and its benefits vs on prem
- • Build, deploy and operate containers (ideally Docker)
- • Appreciation of AWS/cloud shared security model, can create Security Guardrails (SCP, Config, etc.)
- • Knowledge of platform engineering concepts and the difference between platform and DevOps
