- • The Coding Supervisor oversees charge posting and coding workflows, ensuring compliance with national coding guidelines and NGHS policies to support accurate reimbursement and data integrity in surgical specialties.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising coding quality reviewers, monitoring performance, exporting data from EPIC to Excel for tracking productivity, creating benchmarking and quality reports, coordinating staff training, and facilitating interdepartmental meetings.
- • The role involves proactive coaching, resolving coding issues, initiating physician queries when needed, and maintaining adherence to ethical coding standards and organizational values.

🎯 Requirements
- • RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC certification required; CPC holders must obtain an additional specialty credential within 6 months of hire.
- • Minimum five (5) years of acute care inpatient/outpatient coding experience.
- • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in HIM/HIT preferred.
- • Preferred: three (3) years of healthcare leadership experience and coding auditing/monitoring experience.
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to analyze data trends to identify root causes and drive improvements.
