- • As Commercial Counsel at Zip, you will be a key legal partner enabling the company’s rapid growth by supporting go-to-market and revenue teams across EMEA and international markets through efficient, business-forward legal counsel.
- • You will lead the negotiation and drafting of high-volume commercial agreements including SaaS contracts, MSAs, order forms, DPAs, NDAs, partner/reseller agreements, and vendor/procurement-related contracts, while advising cross-functional teams on legal and commercial risk in a practical, speed-focused manner.
- • You will join a high-trust, innovative legal function at Zip — an AI-powered procurement platform trusted by enterprises like T-Mobile, OpenAI, AMD, and Mars — where you’ll help build scalable legal systems, adopt AI and automation tools, and improve workflows to accelerate deal cycles without compromising judgment.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in structuring commercially sound agreements, designing scalable legal playbooks, leveraging technology in legal operations, and advising on data privacy, AI, and product counseling matters — positioning you as a strategic enabler of revenue growth in a fast-moving, technology-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6 to 8+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably with a mix of in-house and top law firm background
- • Significant experience negotiating and closing customer-facing commercial contracts, especially complex SaaS and enterprise agreements
- • Strong judgment in balancing legal risk, commercial priorities, and speed to support business objectives
- • Qualification to practice law in the UK or another common law jurisdiction preferred
- • Ability to give clear, concise advice that enables quick business decision-making
- • Systems-oriented mindset with interest in legal technology, workflow design, and practical AI applications in legal work
