  • • The Commercial Manager role at Capita Pensions Solutions is pivotal in supporting sales and client management teams to secure profitable, deliverable new business while safeguarding commercial and contractual integrity.
  • • Day to day, you will assist the sales team in securing new business, provide commercial input on deal shaping, pricing, negotiations and contracting, review proposals for margin and risk alignment, ensure bid approvals follow governance, identify and manage commercial and legal risks, act as main point of contact for client contracts, lead contract change management, produce contract reporting, maintain contract records, record meeting minutes, administer contracts including templates and notices, support subcontractor relationships, assist with due diligence and audit data requests, and work within client-specific management teams to contribute to strategy and performance.
  • • Capita Pensions Solutions is a division of Capita with over 50 years of experience managing pensions for organisations across the UK, supporting over 450 schemes and more than 7 million members through end-to-end pension solutions including administration, data remediation, software, actuarial services, investments, scheme management, and member communications.
  • • In this role, you will develop expertise in commercial risk management, contract negotiation and governance, bid processes, and pension sector commercial operations, while building stakeholder influence and contributing to profitable business outcomes in a stable, long-established division of a major UK outsourcing group.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Good understanding of bid preparation and submission processes (ITT, RFP, BAFO)
  • • Ability to identify and analyse key commercial risks such as KPIs, SLAs, contractual dependencies and milestones
  • • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • • Strong knowledge of contract law and its application in SW / IT / BPO/Professional Services environments
  • • Good basic financial acumen
  • • Producing reports and summaries which articulate key matters for a senior and/or non-commercial audience
