- • As a Commercial Property Claims Adjuster II at EMC Insurance Companies, you will investigate and evaluate medium-sized and moderately complex commercial property and reinsured cyber claims, ensuring accurate coverage assessment and timely resolution while supporting the company’s mission to improve lives through caring leadership and expert partnership.
- • Day to day, you will conduct field inspections, coordinate with internal and external experts, initiate contact with insureds and claimants, obtain statements and documentation, review financial records, document claim activity, establish reserves, negotiate settlements, prepare repair estimates, identify recovery opportunities, detect potential fraud, support litigation preparation, and audit estimates from independent adjusters to ensure accuracy and cost-effective repairs.
- • You will join a collaborative team at EMC Insurance Companies, a carrier committed to being close partners and responsive experts, where you’ll work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. (with preference for Western region residents) and contribute to claims roundtables, team support, and cross-departmental projects that drive operational excellence.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in commercial property claims, develop advanced investigative and negotiation skills, master claims systems and estimating software, and grow into a trusted authority capable of handling complex claims and mentoring others, all while building a meaningful career in insurance with a company that values integrity, empathy, and continuous improvement.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- • Three years of property claims adjusting experience or related experience
- • Commercial property claims adjusting experience is required
- • Ability to obtain all applicable state licenses
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
- • Solid investigative and problem-solving abilities
