- • As a Commercial Title Examiner at First American Financial Corporation, you will play a vital role in ensuring large-scale real estate transactions close smoothly and securely by analyzing public records, verifying ownership, and identifying title issues for commercial properties across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
- • Day to day, you will manage complex commercial title projects, search and examine property data across jurisdictions, verify legal descriptions, review deeds and liens, prepare title commitments, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with underwriters and internal partners to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- • You will join First American’s National Production Services division, a people-first organization with over 135 years of industry leadership, recognized for eleven consecutive years on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® list and celebrated for its inclusive culture supporting women, diversity, and LGBTQ+ employees.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in commercial title examination, strengthen your analytical and problem-solving skills, gain proficiency with industry-specific platforms, and contribute to high-stakes real estate transactions while growing within a stable, innovative, and supportive enterprise.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 3 years of directly related commercial title insurance experience in title searching, examining, and writing commitments in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington D.C.
- • Understanding of relevant legal and real estate terminology
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Pro, internet, and property data platforms
- • Ability to analyze complex information and solve problems independently
- • Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven, paperless environment
- • Clear and professional communication with a customer service mindset
- • High school diploma or equivalent
