  • • Own Harvey’s competitive intelligence program as the first dedicated PMM focused on market and competitor analysis in a fast-scaling AI product company serving legal and professional services.
  • • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape, tracking competitor product updates, pricing and packaging changes, and deal intelligence gathered from sales and customer interactions, consolidating insights into a single system of record.
  • • Translate real-time market intelligence into strategic recommendations on product positioning, messaging, roadmap priorities, and areas where Harvey has a defensible competitive advantage.
  • • Develop and maintain competitive messaging frameworks, battle cards, sales enablement content, and competitive playbooks that equip GTM teams to win against key rivals.
  • • Produce a weekly competitive intelligence digest and monthly leadership readout that directly link market shifts to actionable business decisions across Product, Sales, and RevOps.
  • • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, RevOps, Customer Success, and Communications teams to ensure competitive insights inform product development, go-to-market strategy, and customer communications.
  • • Build competitive enablement programs from scratch that demonstrably improve sales win rates and reduce deal cycle times through targeted training and resource deployment.
  • • Conduct customer and prospect interviews to uncover competitive dynamics, pain points, and decision-making triggers, then transform those insights into compelling narratives for sales, marketing, and industry analysts.
  • • Communicate complex competitive strategies clearly to executives, sales teams, and technical stakeholders, adapting tone and depth from C-suite briefings to frontline sales training sessions.
  • • Operate with autonomy in a high-velocity startup environment, demonstrating resourcefulness and initiative to build programs from 0 to 1 with limited resources and evolving priorities.
  • • Stay ahead of emerging AI-driven legal tech competitors and industry trends, anticipating market movements before they become widely recognized.
  • • Maintain a deep understanding of Harvey’s product differentiators and articulate them effectively against incumbent and emerging alternatives in the legal AI space.
  • • Ensure all competitive intelligence outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with Harvey’s brand voice and strategic objectives.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 8+ years in product marketing with a specific focus on competitive intelligence
  • • Strong instincts for messaging and positioning in crowded, competitive markets
  • • Proven track record of building competitive enablement programs that improve sales win rates
  • • Experience interviewing customers and turning insights into compelling narratives for sales and marketing
  • • Excellent communicator capable of delivering executive briefings and frontline sales training with equal impact
  • • Comfort operating in a startup environment: resourceful, scrappy, and experienced in building programs from 0 → 1
