📋 Description

  • Own the end-to-end component-planning cycle for one of Signify’s fastest-growing manufacturing sites in Camargo, México. You will translate demand forecasts into precise purchase orders, ensuring every LED driver, optic, and PCB arrives exactly when the production line needs it—no stock-outs, no excess.
  • Balance service and cash by keeping your assigned purchasing group’s on-hand inventory within aggressive targets while still guaranteeing 99 % component availability for high-runner luminaires and connected-lighting systems shipped to North- and South-American markets.
  • Drive weekly MRP runs in SAP, tune safety-stock parameters, lot-sizing rules, and lead-time buffers, then lock the plan with suppliers through formal forecast confirmations and capacity-reservation agreements.
  • Act as the primary interface between Global Sourcing, local factory operations, and tier-1/tier-2 suppliers across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. You will chair monthly supplier reviews, escalate critical shortages, and negotiate expedites or pull-ins to protect customer OTIF.
  • Lead root-cause analysis on delivery reliability (GSRS metrics) and lead-time deviations. Use LEAN problem-solving (5 Whys, Ishikawa, PDCA) to eliminate systemic issues, reduce average lead time by 5-10 % per year, and raise supplier scorecard ratings.
  • Own the component phase-in/phase-out process during product transfers between Camargo and sister plants in Poland, India, and China. Coordinate last-time-buys, bridge inventories, and EOL notifications to avoid write-offs and sustain production continuity.
  • Continuously optimize the stocking strategy for 1,500+ active SKUs. Run ABC/XYZ segmentation, refresh min-max levels, and pilot VMI or consignment programs that free working capital without compromising agility.
  • Maintain master data integrity: update SAP material masters, source lists, info-records, and logistics views; ensure Incoterms, MOQ, and packaging norms reflect the latest contractual terms.
  • Coach and mentor two junior planners, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making, open communication, and relentless customer focus. Track team KPIs—inventory turns, DOH, premium freight spend—and celebrate wins in daily tier meetings.
  • Influence the future of sustainable lighting by embedding circular-economy principles into planning policies: prioritize suppliers with green logistics, recyclable packaging, and CO₂-reduction roadmaps that support Signify’s 2025 carbon-neutral commitment.
