- • As a Computational Linguist in AI Evaluation at Twelve Labs, you will play a vital role in advancing the company’s multimodal foundation models by ensuring high-quality data and rigorous model evaluation—directly impacting the performance and reliability of AI systems that understand video like humans.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing and building robust model evaluation frameworks, managing resource allocation and timelines for data projects, collaborating with external vendors to enhance data quality, establishing labeling guidelines and monitoring data integrity, and partnering with engineering and AI model teams to align on data needs and communicate progress through analytical reports and dashboards.
- • You will join the ML Data Team, a high-ownership unit responsible for the full lifecycle of video-language data preparation and model evaluation, working in a mission-driven, innovative environment backed by top-tier investors and AI pioneers, with headquarters in San Francisco and a growing global presence.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in multimodal AI evaluation, gain hands-on experience scaling data operations for large AI models, develop leadership in cross-functional collaboration, and contribute to shaping the future of video understanding through cutting-edge research and product development.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience working in an AI-focused data operations organization
- • Proven track record designing and executing large-scale data or evaluation projects, including data gathering, labeling, and post-processing
- • Proficiency with Python, LLMs, or other industry tools for automation
- • Excellent communication and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- • Foundational understanding of and interest in LLMs/VLMs and multimodal AI
