  • • As a Construction Loan Processor at CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of construction loans, contributing directly to our position as a leading national mortgage lender.
  • • You will be the primary point of contact for borrowers, builders, and loan officers, providing exceptional customer service throughout the loan lifecycle and meticulously managing all necessary documentation.
  • • Your core responsibility will be to obtain, verify, and analyze a comprehensive set of documents required for underwriting construction loans, ensuring accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • • This involves proactively communicating with various third-party vendors, such as employers, flood certificate providers, and title companies, to secure essential information and verify the completion of their services.
  • • You will meticulously review vendor invoices, ensuring they are properly documented and processed.
  • • A critical aspect of your role is the thorough review and analysis of borrower's credit, income, and asset documentation, aligning it with the specific requirements of each loan program.
  • • Before submitting any file to underwriting, you will conduct a pre-underwriting review to identify and address any potential issues or discrepancies, ensuring a clean and complete loan package.
  • • You will prepare concise loan approval summaries highlighting any missing documentation, facilitating informed decisions by the Loan Officer and Branch Manager.
  • • Your communication skills will be essential as you directly engage with customers via telephone and in writing to gather any outstanding or missing documentation.
  • • A deep understanding of mortgage regulations is crucial; you will be responsible for reviewing loans for compliance with RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Regulation B, and other relevant federal, state, and local mortgage lending laws.
  • • You will prepare and issue accurate loan disclosures and re-disclosures as mandated by regulatory requirements, ensuring the company remains compliant.
  • • Completing required loan submission, re-submission, and closing checklists accurately and efficiently will be a regular part of your duties.
  • • You will be expected to manage your pipeline of loans effectively, adhering to all allotted turn times to maintain operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • • Meticulous record-keeping is paramount; you will document all communications and actions related to each loan application within the Loan Origination System (LOS) conversation log.
  • • You will collaborate with closing, secondary, and servicing departments to secure necessary documentation for clearing outstanding suspense items, demonstrating strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
  • • This role requires adaptability, as you may be asked to assist with loans processed by other team members during transitions.
  • • The position may require working varying hours, including overtime, to meet business needs and ensure timely loan processing.
