📋 Description

• The Consultant Director (Maternity Cover) role is pivotal in shaping Mindset’s consultancy offer in Foresight & Innovation, driving senior client relationships and pioneering research that exceeds client expectations.
• Day to day, the role involves owning and directing the largest and most senior client relationships, leading qualitative and quantitative research projects, identifying new business opportunities, managing team performance, and traveling nationally and internationally to deliver high-value consulting.
• You will join a dynamic, high-performing team of 40+ consultants, strategists, and trend researchers within WGSN’s EMEA consultancy team, working alongside experts in creative strategy, product innovation, design, marketing, data analytics, and trend forecasting.
• In this role, you will develop expertise in translating macro and consumer trends into strategic insight, lead complex cross-functional projects, and grow as a commercial strategist and thought leader in global trend forecasting and innovation consulting.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience working in Trend Forecasting, Foresight and Innovation, with the ability to translate macro and consumer trends into thought-provoking insight and strategy.
• Strong background in Consulting, ideally within an agency environment, with experience leading multiple complex projects blending qualitative and quantitative research.
• Agency experience is a must, demonstrating understanding of commercial consultancy operational models and ability to implement organisational strategy.
• Proven experience working with clients in WGSN’s focus industries (Food & Drink, Fashion, Beauty, Interiors) and delivering strategy to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to lead project teams, prioritise workload, and support team members across multi-functional teams and multiple time zones.
• Critical thinker with strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of considering both strategic and tactical implications.
