  • • As the Content, Communications, and Thought Leadership Marketer at Knox Systems, you will be instrumental in shaping our market presence and establishing Knox as a definitive authority in the federal cloud and AI landscape. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker and a masterful storyteller, capable of translating highly technical and complex subjects into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with our target audience. You will own the entire content lifecycle, from ideation and creation to distribution and performance analysis, ensuring every piece of content aligns with our strategic objectives and amplifies our brand voice.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy that supports demand generation, enhances executive visibility, solidifies our brand positioning, and fosters long-term market influence. This involves a deep understanding of our core offerings, including secure cloud infrastructure, AI environments, and stringent compliance frameworks like FedRAMP. You will be the architect of our external communications, ensuring that Knox's unique value proposition and commitment to security, reliability, and compliance are effectively communicated to the U.S. government and its critical mission partners.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve managing Knox's website content and design. This includes overseeing page structure, directing visual design elements, crafting persuasive messaging, and implementing ongoing updates. Your goal will be to ensure our website is not only visually appealing and aligned with our brand identity but also optimized for search engines (SEO) and answer engines (AEO), effectively capturing organic traffic and providing a seamless user experience that guides visitors towards valuable resources and solutions.
  • • You will be responsible for developing and meticulously managing content and communications calendars. These calendars will be strategically aligned with our demand generation campaigns, SEO/AEO priorities, executive visibility initiatives, and key business milestones. This ensures a cohesive and impactful marketing effort, where content consistently supports broader organizational goals and timely market opportunities.
  • • The creation of high-quality, audience-first content is at the heart of this role. You will produce a diverse range of materials, including blog posts, in-depth articles, informative whitepapers, engaging e-books, educational webinars, compelling video scripts, insightful podcast outlines, and dynamic social media content. Each piece will be designed to educate the market, nurture inbound leads, and reinforce Knox's standing as a trusted expert in federal cloud computing and compliance.
  • • Collaborating closely with the Director of Demand Generation, you will own the SEO and AEO strategy. This includes conducting thorough keyword research, implementing on-page and off-page optimization techniques, developing answer-based content to address user queries, and diligently tracking performance metrics across both traditional search and emerging AI-driven discovery platforms. Your insights will drive continuous improvement in our content's visibility and effectiveness.
  • • Content distribution and repurposing will be a key function. You will strategically disseminate and adapt content across various channels, including our website, email marketing campaigns, social media platforms, earned media placements, and demand generation initiatives, maximizing reach and impact.
  • • A critical component of this role is partnering with the CEO on executive communications and thought leadership. This involves developing and managing their LinkedIn content strategy, crafting long-form narratives, refining key messaging, and analyzing the performance of their external communications to enhance their visibility and influence.
  • • You will proactively identify, pitch, and support speaking and thought leadership opportunities for Knox leadership. This includes securing placements on podcasts, at industry conferences, on expert panels, in webinars, and in media interviews, positioning our executives as leading voices in the federal technology sector.
  • • Close collaboration with the Demand Generation team is essential to support integrated marketing campaigns, Account-Based Marketing (ABM) programs, webinars, and events. You will provide the compelling content and messaging necessary for these initiatives to achieve their objectives.
  • • You will be tasked with tracking and analyzing the performance of all content and communications efforts. Utilizing key metrics related to engagement, website traffic, search discovery, and conversion rates, you will derive actionable insights to continuously refine our strategy and enhance overall impact.
  • • Maintaining a consistent, authoritative, and engaging brand voice, messaging, and quality across all external communications is paramount. This ensures a unified and professional representation of Knox Systems in the market.
  • • Staying abreast of industry trends, evolving customer pain points, significant policy shifts, and competitive messaging is crucial. This continuous learning will inform and shape our content and communications strategy, ensuring its relevance and effectiveness.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years of B2B content marketing experience, preferably in SaaS or complex, technical industries.
  • • Proven ability to create compelling written content across various formats and for diverse audiences.
  • • Strong experience with SEO best practices and data-driven content optimization.
  • • Experience managing content calendars and supporting integrated marketing campaigns.
  • • Ability to translate complex or technical topics into clear, engaging narratives.
  • • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess content performance and apply learnings.
  • • Excellent written communication and editing skills.
  • • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • • Experience supporting executive or company thought leadership, communications, or external visibility initiatives.
  • • Strong understanding of modern content discovery, including SEO, AEO, and emerging AI-driven search and answer platforms.
  • • Bonus: Experience marketing to federal, government, or other highly regulated audiences.
  • • Bonus: Familiarity with FedRAMP, compliance, cloud infrastructure, or cybersecurity topics.
  • • Bonus: Experience supporting thought leadership or executive social media presence.
  • • Bonus: Experience creating or managing webinar and long-form content programs.
