  • • The Content Strategist at Directive Consulting LLC is a pivotal client-facing role responsible for developing and executing data-driven content and SEO strategies that directly impact client revenue and growth, aligning with the company’s Customer Generation methodology to move beyond vanity metrics and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • • This role ensures strategic alignment between client goals, marketing initiatives, and internal execution, serving as the primary consultant who builds trusted relationships while driving performance across Enterprise B2B SaaS and tech clients.
  • • Day to day, the Content Strategist creates custom client strategies grounded in LTV:CAC modeling, Share of SERP analysis, and competitive/audience insights, using historical performance and current campaign data to continuously optimize and revise approaches throughout the client lifecycle.
  • • They set and approve client goals using data from Google Analytics, CRM, SEMRush, and Ahrefs, ensuring all targets are validated by their Associate Director before presentation, maintaining rigor and accountability in goal-setting processes.
  • • The Strategist manages project execution via Asana, delegating tasks to internal specialists (writers, designers) and client stakeholders, coordinating with Project Managers when applicable to ensure timely delivery, quality control, and clear communication of milestones and dependencies.
  • • They serve as the central communication hub between clients and internal teams, proactively sharing timeline updates, progress on NSMs (North Star Metrics), roadblocks, and growth opportunities through Slack and scheduled bi-weekly meetings, fostering transparency and trust.
  • • Reporting is a core function: Strategists deliver bi-weekly performance updates, monthly deep-dive reports, quarterly strategic reviews, and bi-annual business presentations that tie content and SEO efforts to revenue impact and client retention.
  • • They actively identify upsell, cross-sell, and referral opportunities by monitoring client evolution—such as new points of contact or expanded service needs—and nurture relationships that lead to organic growth and advocacy.
  • • The Content Strategist collaborates closely with content creators and designers to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on brand, and meet client quality standards, blending strategic vision with tactical oversight.
  • • They stay ahead of industry trends, particularly in AI and automation, integrating emerging tools and techniques to enhance marketing efficiency and innovation for clients.
  • • Operating within Directive’s elite, performance-obsessed culture, the Strategist is expected to challenge conventions, push beyond standard deliverables, and contribute to shaping the future of B2B marketing through bold, results-oriented thinking.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven track record implementing SEO principles and content strategy, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building
  • • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret website traffic and SEO metrics using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
  • • Demonstrated agency experience and B2B tech/SaaS background, with comfort in client-facing roles and managing stakeholder relationships
  • • Excellent communication, organizational, project, and time management skills, including proficiency in Asana for task delegation and tracking
  • • Genuine passion for digital marketing, SEO, and content, with a drive to stay current on industry trends including AI and automation applications
