Black White Zebra (BWZ) is seeking a dynamic Content Coordinator to become an integral part of our content engine, the very heart of our business operations. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in directly producing new content and meticulously updating existing pieces, leveraging our cutting-edge in-house AI and automation technology. You will operate within sophisticated systems, expertly generating, refining, and quality-assuring content across a diverse portfolio of publications. Your primary objective will be to ensure that every single piece of content we publish is not only accurate and exceptionally helpful to our audience but also meticulously optimized for search engines (SEO) and consistently delivered according to our stringent deadlines.
• You will be the bridge between our established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), content templates, and formatting standards, translating these guidelines into consistently excellent output at scale. This involves a deep understanding of our content creation workflows and the ability to apply them with precision and efficiency. Your role will extend to providing crucial support to our valued freelance contributors, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to align with BWZ's high standards and editorial vision. This collaborative aspect is key to maintaining the quality and consistency of our content output.
• Beyond the essential day-to-day production tasks, you will play a proactive role in the continuous evolution of the systems that underpin our content creation. This involves a critical and analytical approach to identifying edge cases, those unique scenarios that require special attention. You will be responsible for surfacing recurring issues that may arise within the content generation process, acting as an early warning system for potential improvements. Furthermore, you will be expected to share valuable insights gleaned from your production experience. These insights will be crucial in refining our AI prompts, enhancing our content templates, and optimizing our overall workflows, thereby driving innovation and efficiency in our editorial operations.

You will also be responsible for optimizing content for SEO, including keyword research and implementation, meta description writing, and internal linking strategies. Furthermore, you will assist in the development and maintenance of content style guides and SOPs, ensuring they remain current and effective. Collaboration with the SEO Content Manager and other team members will be essential for aligning content strategies with broader business objectives. You will also be involved in performance analysis, reviewing content metrics to identify areas for improvement and success. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning in the fast-paced world of digital content.

🎯 Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Proven experience in content creation, editing, proofreading, or a similar role within a digital publishing or marketing environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free content.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices for content optimization.
• Experience working with content management systems (CMS) or similar digital platforms is a plus.
