đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Content Strategist (internally known as Account Strategist, Content & SEO) at Directive Consulting, you will be at the forefront of driving significant growth for our B2B SaaS clients. This is a pivotal, client-facing role where you will own the day-to-day strategic direction and execution for a portfolio of enterprise clients, ensuring their marketing efforts not only meet but exceed Net Sales Margin (NSM) goals. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing bespoke content and SEO strategies, deeply understanding each client's unique service line and its broader business impact to craft holistic, performance-driven marketing plans. Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex business objectives into actionable, data-informed strategies that deliver tangible revenue and fuel client success.
  • • You will be responsible for the end-to-end strategic process, from initial client onboarding and strategy development to ongoing optimization and performance reporting. This involves leveraging Directive's proprietary Customer Generation methodology, focusing on driving pipeline, SQLs, and scaling brands that are serious about growth. You'll work across Paid Media, SEO, CRO, RevOps, and Go-To-Market Strategy, building integrated marketing engines that are designed to win in competitive B2B landscapes.
  • • A core aspect of your role involves meticulous goal setting. You will utilize a variety of data sources, including Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMRush, and Ahrefs, to establish clear, measurable, and achievable client goals. These goals will be collaboratively reviewed and approved by your Associate Director (AsD) before being presented to the client, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
  • • Project management is paramount. You will ensure the successful execution of the strategies you develop, meticulously managing timelines and task delegation within our project management tool, Asana. This includes assigning tasks to internal specialists, clients, and external partners, and diligently tracking their completion. For clients within pods that have dedicated Project Managers, you will partner closely to ensure seamless execution, clear communication of deadlines, and timely delivery of all campaign elements. You will also collaborate closely with content writers and designers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of all content assets, meeting and exceeding client expectations.
  • • As the primary liaison between our clients and the Directive team, you will cultivate strong, trust-based relationships. This goes beyond transactional deliverables; you'll strive to understand clients on a personal level, acting as their most trusted consultant. Proactive and transparent communication is key. You will keep clients informed about timeline expectations, progress towards goals, and leverage shared communication channels like Slack for ongoing dialogue between bi-weekly meetings. You'll also provide regular updates to internal leadership regarding any roadblocks, potential growth opportunities, strategic shifts, or changes within client accounts.
  • • Reporting is a critical function, providing clients with clear insights into the progress and impact of their strategies. You will conduct bi-weekly client meetings to discuss NSM progress and ongoing deliverables, prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports, and lead two in-depth bi-annual business review presentations. Your ability to translate data into compelling narratives will be essential for demonstrating value and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • • You will be expected to champion Directive's best practices, including LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation, Share of SERP, and Content Production, integrating them into client strategies to ensure optimal positioning for goal attainment. You will also actively identify opportunities for account growth, whether through expanding service lines or increasing investment within current offerings, and be adept at seeking referrals from satisfied clients at opportune moments.
  • • This role demands a strategic thinker with a passion for performance marketing, a deep understanding of B2B SaaS, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. You will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment, challenging the status quo and pushing campaigns beyond expectations to spark demand for bold, innovative brands. If you are obsessed with analytics, storytelling, and making a tangible impact, you will find a rewarding home at Directive.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven track record of success in implementing SEO principles and content strategy, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building.
  • • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, and Ahrefs.
  • • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to own and nurture key stakeholder relationships.
  • • Minimum of 2 years of agency experience, with a specific focus on B2B tech and/or SaaS clients.
  • • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana) and a strong understanding of content production workflows.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive living wage and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, with a 100% employer-paid option for employees and a 50% contribution for dependents.
  • • Robust mental and physical wellness support, including access to certified therapists via Spring Health, Headspace membership, and Gympass.
  • • Generous time off policies, including unlimited PTO (with a 2-week minimum), paid company holidays, your birthday off, an end-of-year recharge period (December 24 - January 1), and paid parental leave.
  • • Financial benefits such as a traditional and Roth 401(k) with a 3% company match and an annual bonus program based on tenure.
  • • Unique perks like an annual anniversary trip with peers and executive leadership for team building and entertainment.
