• • Contract FastAPI Engineer role focused on owning and evolving Photoroom’s public API, which serves as the core interface for developers integrating AI-powered image processing into their products.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining the API surface end-to-end — from naming and versioning to performance, reliability, and integration with AI models — while iterating rapidly based on real user feedback and shipping multiple times per week.
• • Photoroom is a remote-friendly, Y Combinator-backed company with 300+ million users and 5+ billion images processed annually, serving clients like Amazon, DoorDash, and Decathlon through its mobile app, web platform, and API.
