- • Own the full contract lifecycle for Onit’s rapidly expanding customer base, drafting, redlining, negotiating, and closing subscription and services agreements, SLAs, professional-services statements of work, partner agreements, and contract addenda that underpin millions of dollars in annual recurring revenue.
- • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for Sales, Professional Services, Product, Support, and Finance—translating complex legal concepts into clear business guidance that accelerates deal velocity without compromising risk posture.
- • Proactively identify non-standard terms, quantify associated risks, and propose compliant alternatives that protect Onit while preserving customer relationships; maintain a living playbook of preferred language and fallback positions that evolves with market practice and regulatory change.
- • Drive the contract-review workflow inside Onit’s own CLM platform, ensuring every document is routed, approved, and stored with full auditability; use data captured in the system to surface bottlenecks and continuously refine processes.
- • Partner with Finance during negotiations to align contract terms with revenue-recognition policies and forecasted cash flow, eliminating downstream surprises at quarter-end.
- • Respond to RFPs and RFQs with concise, persuasive language that highlights Onit’s differentiators while meeting mandatory compliance requirements; coordinate input from Security, Privacy, and Product teams to deliver cohesive responses under tight deadlines.
- • Act as a trusted escalation path for Sales leadership, clarifying contractual rights and obligations in real time during high-stakes negotiations and helping reps structure creative deal constructs that satisfy both customer needs and corporate policy.
- • Maintain an expert-level understanding of SaaS, data-privacy, intellectual-property, and AI-specific regulations; monitor legislative developments and feed insights back to Legal leadership so Onit remains ahead of the compliance curve.
- • Mentor junior team members and cross-functional partners on contract best practices, running periodic training sessions that demystify legalese and empower colleagues to spot issues early.
- • Contribute to special projects such as template harmonization, clause libraries, and AI-assisted contract analytics, turning your day-to-day experience into scalable tools that amplify the entire Legal team’s impact.
