- • As Controller at Teamworks Technologies, you will own the financial close process and lead accounting through active M&A, multi-entity consolidations, and international compliance in a high-growth sports technology company serving professional leagues, collegiate programs, and military organizations worldwide.
- • You will drive the monthly close end-to-end, lead purchase accounting (ASC 805) and financial integration across multiple deals, manage multi-currency accounting and statutory compliance, build scalable internal controls and systems, partner cross-functionally with FP&A, RevOps, Legal, and leadership, and develop the accounting team to meet the company’s scaling needs.
- • Teamworks is a late-stage, high-growth sports technology company founded in 2006, now serving 6,500+ organizations globally with solutions spanning Personnel, Coaching, Performance, Operations, and Intelligence. The company is scaling rapidly through M&A, preparing for financial milestones, and seeks a Controller who can build and strengthen the finance function from within.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in technical accounting (ASC 606, 718, 350), lead external audits, gain end-to-end ownership of M&A financial integration, and grow into a strategic finance leader shaping systems, controls, and team structure for a rapidly expanding, innovative organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active CPA license (non-negotiable)
- • 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting background (Big 4 or large regional firm strongly preferred)
- • Prior experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller at a SaaS or technology company
- • Hands-on experience leading purchase accounting (ASC 805) and managing M&A financial integration workstreams
- • Strong technical knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 350, multi-entity consolidations, and international accounting standards
- • Experience building or improving internal controls and leading end-to-end external audit processes
- • People management experience with proven ability to lead or mentor an accounting team
- • ERP proficiency, with Intacct experience strongly preferred
- • Must be based in the Eastern Timezone (fully remote role)
