- • Reprise Financial is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Controls Analyst to join our dynamic, fully remote team. Our mission is to simplify the financial journey for customers by making personal loans accessible and transparent. We leverage technology and a customer-first approach to provide fast, reliable personal loans of up to $25,000, ensuring our clients receive the support they need without hidden fees or complex terms. Your role as a Controls Analyst is pivotal in upholding this mission by ensuring operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and a superior customer experience across the entire lending lifecycle.
- • In this critical role, you will partner closely with leaders across our Servicing, Collections, and Originations departments. Your primary objective will be to support and strengthen the full lending lifecycle, from initial application to loan servicing and eventual collection. This involves a deep dive into processes, policies, and procedures to ensure they not only meet but exceed regulatory and company requirements.
- • You will collaborate extensively with our Operations and Compliance teams. This partnership is essential for maintaining strict alignment with all relevant lending regulations, compliance mandates, effective collection strategies, and robust loan processing procedures. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the customer experience by ensuring our operations are efficient, fair, and compliant, while simultaneously supporting the strategic objectives of the Collections organization.
- • A core responsibility will be to ensure that our collection strategies, loan processing procedures, and customer experience initiatives are meticulously designed and executed to meet all regulatory and company requirements. This requires a proactive approach to understanding the evolving landscape of financial regulations and consumer protection laws.
- • You will be responsible for keeping our lending and collections policies and procedures current, ensuring they remain aligned with evolving industry standards, best practices, and regulatory updates. This involves continuous review, assessment, and revision of documentation.
- • Act as a key liaison between operational teams, Compliance, and senior leadership on all matters related to lending operations, policy, and audit activities. Your ability to translate complex operational details into clear, actionable insights for leadership will be crucial.
- • Evaluate current collection practices, loan workflows, and customer service standards. Your analysis will aim to identify opportunities for significant efficiency gains, cost reductions, and, most importantly, a reduction in customer complaints. This involves a data-driven approach to process improvement.
- • Specifically, you will review servicing complaints thoroughly. Based on your findings, you will recommend proactive and preventative changes to processes and policies to mitigate future occurrences and enhance customer satisfaction.
- • Lead change management efforts for process updates and policy revisions. This includes ensuring all changes are clearly documented, that impacts across related processes are thoroughly understood and communicated, and that implementation is smooth and effective.
- • Conduct internal transaction testing to validate the effectiveness of controls and compliance with established procedures. You will also oversee testing conducted by third-party suppliers to ensure their adherence to our standards.
- • Perform regular audits to validate control effectiveness and assess the robustness of our risk mitigation strategies. This proactive approach helps identify and address potential vulnerabilities before they become significant issues.
- • Manage internal and external audit deliverables. This includes preparing documentation for regulatory exams, coordinating responses to auditor requests, and ensuring timely and accurate submission of all required information.
- • Review and report on quality assurance (QA) results. You will be responsible for identifying key trends, pinpointing areas needing remediation, and collaborating with teams to implement corrective actions.
- • Partner with leadership to complete comprehensive risk assessments. You will track the progress of remediation efforts and continuously monitor the performance of operational controls to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
- • Assist in the design and maintenance of reporting, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational controls, lending processes, and risk management. These metrics will provide critical visibility into operational health.
- • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across all lending departments and support functions. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for ensuring aligned, seamless operations and a unified approach to controls and compliance.
- • Develop clear, concise, and compelling communication materials, documentation, and presentations for various stakeholders, including operational teams and senior leadership.
- • Participate actively in special projects and strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational controls, enhancing efficiency, and elevating the overall customer experience. Your contributions will directly shape the future of our lending operations.
