- • Design conversational flows for AI interactions across chat, task completion, and assistant-guided workflows to enable reliable, long-running user interactions.
- • Define how the AI sets expectations, signals uncertainty, asks for input, and communicates errors or limitations during multi-step tasks.
- • Develop prompts, response templates, fallback patterns, and assistant behaviors tailored for complex, context-aware workflows with non-deterministic model behavior.
- • Design user mechanisms to supervise, interrupt, correct, and redirect AI behavior through natural conversation, ensuring user control throughout interactions.
- • Establish principles for trust and transparency in AI communication without overwhelming users with excessive technical detail or unnecessary explanations.
- • Collaborate with product, engineering, and machine learning teams to define how the assistant manages ambiguity, memory, and context across sessions.
- • Analyze conversation logs to identify failure points, misaligned user expectations, and gaps in recovery pathways for AI interactions.
- • Define and maintain tone, voice, and response principles across diverse user needs and product surfaces, ensuring consistency and clarity.
- • Build and evolve conversation design standards and pattern libraries to scale best practices across the product ecosystem.
- • Shape the foundational framework for AI conversation design at a level of reliability and context depth not yet established in the industry.
- • Focus on long conversation arcs, evolving user intent over time, and memory-aware interactions that support persistent, real-world task completion.
- • Work in a high-talent-density environment where decisions are made collectively, speed is prioritized, and independent judgment and execution are required.
- • Contribute to creating a truly magical AI product that delivers practical benefits to billions of users through intuitive, reliable, and human-centered conversation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience in conversation design, UX writing, interaction design, or a related field.
- • Strong understanding of conversational UX for AI products, chatbots, voice assistants, or assistant-led workflows.
- • Ability to design multi-turn interactions, including prompting flows, error recovery, clarification, and context handoff.
- • Clear thinking about how AI systems should communicate trust, limitations, progress, and failure.
- • Experience collaborating with engineers, product managers, and ML teams.
- • Comfort working with evolving product requirements and non-deterministic system behavior.
