• • As a Corporate and Leisure Travel Consultant at AAA Auto Club Group, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer satisfaction through the expert service and sales of ACG's comprehensive travel products. Your role is pivotal in driving new business by leveraging competitive offerings and playing a key part in retaining The Auto Club Group's extensive membership base of over 14 million members.
• • You will be responsible for servicing and selling domestic and international airline tickets, car rentals, hotel accommodations, and travel insurance. This will be done primarily through an in-bound telephone environment, catering to Corporate Employees, Leisure Travel Clients, Members, and Field and Call Center Agents.
• • A core aspect of your role will involve conducting in-depth consultations to accurately determine client needs, skillfully emphasizing preferred vendors where appropriate to ensure optimal travel solutions.
• • You will actively contribute to the ACG Connected Member Vision by cross-selling membership benefits, aligning travel services with the broader value proposition offered to our members.
• • Your ability to consummate sales will be crucial, involving making all necessary travel arrangements and providing Leisure travelers and their arrangers with vital travel information, including details on cancellation and change penalties, schedules, and fares.
• • You will be the first point of contact for resolving travel-related issues, receiving, investigating, and providing timely and effective resolutions to any problems or concerns that arise.
• • A significant part of your responsibilities will include planning and booking Western Hemisphere and European international airline reservations using a Computer Reservation System (CRS).
• • You will also be tasked with planning and booking complex international and domestic itineraries, encompassing hotel, car, and rail reservations, ensuring seamless travel experiences for clients.
• • To ensure operational excellence, you will be expected to meet or exceed established performance, production, and quality standards consistently.
• • Continuous learning and application of a variety of travel-related information, including geography and travel resource materials, will be essential for providing accurate and comprehensive advice.
• • This role requires a high degree of autonomy, enabling you to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency.
• • You will have the opportunity to arrange travel itineraries for small groups, demonstrating your ability to manage multiple bookings and coordinate complex travel plans.
• • Collaboration with the Travel Group Department will be necessary to procure airline agreements and facilitate air bookings for incentive and leisure groups, contributing to larger-scale travel initiatives.
• • You will act as a trusted advisor, offering expert advice on destinations and demonstrating a deep understanding of making transportation and accommodation requests to meet diverse client needs.
• • Staying informed about developments in foreign countries that may impact travel arrangements or destination safety is a critical responsibility, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of travelers.
• • A key task involves reviewing all available fare options, including utilizing tools like Agentware, and proactively suggesting enhancements to the basic travel purchase, such as adding hotels and cars to create comprehensive travel packages.
