📋 Description

• As a Sr. Group Product Manager for US Derivatives at Kraken, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Kraken’s US derivatives product suite, including futures, perpetuals, options, structured products, and emerging retail-friendly instruments such as prediction markets and event contracts. This role is critical to Kraken’s mission of accelerating global crypto adoption by building secure, compliant, and innovative trading products that serve both retail and institutional traders in the United States.
• You will partner with senior leadership to define and execute the US derivatives strategy, ensuring alignment with Kraken’s broader goals while navigating complex regulatory landscapes. You will lead product innovation in retail derivatives, focusing on accessibility and user experience, and dive deep into the technical, operational, functional, mathematical, and legal complexities to improve scale, performance, profitability, and efficiency.
• You will establish detailed product requirements covering UI/UX, calculations, API design, and operational processes, and take full ownership of their successful build and delivery. You will monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive offerings to ensure Kraken remains positioned for long-term success in a dynamic market.
• You will leverage analytics to monitor product performance, trader behavior, and market trends, using data-driven insights to inform decisions. You will lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts, fostering growth and high performance.
• You will collaborate closely with Pro BU and cross-functional leaders across engineering, design, finance, risk, legal, compliance, and operations to accelerate product and market expansion.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years’ experience in US derivatives trading, structuring, or exchange leadership (crypto, FX, or traditional markets - focused within the US).
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex, high-impact products.
• Expertise in derivatives market microstructure, risk management, and incentive frameworks.
• Strong product vision for retail derivatives, including event-driven contracts and gamified/prediction markets.
• Familiarity with API-driven trading ecosystems and the requirements of high-frequency and retail traders alike.
• Comfort navigating complex and evolving US derivatives regulatory environments.
• Detailed knowledge of trading market participants, their different incentives and constraints.
• Exceptional knowledge of the US CFTC DCMs and their product and exchange functional offerings.
• Strong knowledge of global crypto derivative offerings across traditional markets and crypto-native CeFi & DeFi.
