đź“‹ Description
- • Swarmer AI Inc. is at the forefront of defense technology, developing groundbreaking software that empowers drones with autonomy and the ability to operate in large, coordinated teams without human pilots. Our technology has been rigorously tested and proven in the most demanding operational environment – over 100,000 combat missions in Ukraine. Having recently secured a significant $15M Series A funding round, the largest for Ukrainian defense tech since the war began, we are now poised for rapid expansion to serve NATO-aligned nations. This is not a theoretical endeavor; it's about deploying software that actively saves lives and defends democratic values in real-time.
- • As the Corporate Controller, you will be instrumental in leading and shaping the company’s accounting operations. This pivotal role is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial information, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and internal control policies. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will manage the critical monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, prepare consolidated financial statements, and ensure strict adherence to U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting requirements, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control standards, preparing us for Nasdaq listing.
- • Your core responsibilities will encompass leading and managing the entire corporate accounting function. This includes meticulous oversight of the general ledger, consolidation processes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. You will be the driving force behind the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements and comprehensive management reporting.
- • A key aspect of this role is ensuring unwavering compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and all applicable Nasdaq listing and disclosure requirements. You will partner closely with the Finance reporting team to meticulously prepare and review essential external financial filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy materials, and other disclosures, providing robust MD&A support.
- • You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust internal control environment over financial reporting, fully compliant with SOX standards. This involves comprehensive documentation, facilitating testing support, and proactively addressing any control deficiencies.
- • Furthermore, you will oversee the development, ongoing maintenance, and continuous enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and accounting manuals. This ensures consistency and compliance across the entire organization and its subsidiaries, laying a strong foundation for scalable growth.
- • You will orchestrate and manage the annual external audit and quarterly review processes, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors and expertly navigating technical accounting and control matters.
- • A significant part of your role will involve researching and interpreting complex transactions and new accounting standards. You will provide critical technical accounting guidance to finance and business leaders on a wide range of topics, including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, business combinations, impairments, leases, and debt and equity transactions.
- • You will provide essential accounting and financial reporting support for strategic initiatives. This includes contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes by ensuring the accuracy of historical data and delivering insightful analysis of results, trends, and key performance indicators.
- • Support for strategic initiatives extends to M&A transactions, integrations, restructuring activities, and capital markets transactions, where your accounting and financial reporting expertise will be crucial.
- • You will oversee tax accounting and reporting, working in coordination with internal tax resources and/or external advisors to manage income tax provisions, indirect taxes, and compliance support.
- • Driving efficiency and scalability, you will ensure the effective utilization of the company’s ERP and financial systems, actively pursuing process improvements and automation within accounting operations.
- • You will be responsible for preparing and presenting detailed financial information and strategic insights to the CFO, executive leadership, and the audit committee. Your contributions will also support board and investor-related materials as needed.
- • Crucially, you will build, lead, and develop a high-performing accounting team. You will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, empowering your team to achieve excellence.
- • This role is for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, direct environment, values execution, and wants to contribute to work of profound importance. If you are seeking a challenging opportunity to make a significant impact in a company that is shaping the future of defense technology, this is your chance.
