📋 Description

• As Corporate Development Director at Shield AI, you will lead strategic initiatives that drive growth and innovation for a mission-critical defense technology company protecting service members and civilians through intelligent systems.
• You will identify, evaluate, and execute mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and investments aligned with Shield AI’s long-term technology roadmap, conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning for target companies in aerospace, AI, and autonomous systems.
• You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, engineering, legal, and finance teams to assess strategic fit, negotiate deal structures, and ensure seamless post-transaction integration that advances Shield AI’s product lines including V-BAT, X-BAT, Hivemind Enterprise, and Hivemind Vision.
• You will monitor market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies in the defense and autonomous systems sectors to inform corporate strategy and identify new growth opportunities.
• You will build and maintain relationships with investors, venture capital firms, strategic partners, and government stakeholders to support Shield AI’s expansion across U.S., European, Middle Eastern, and Asia-Pacific markets.
• You will present findings and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors, influencing high-stakes decisions that shape the company’s trajectory in the deep-tech defense industry.
• You will develop and refine corporate development processes, playbooks, and KPIs to improve efficiency and scalability as Shield AI continues to grow globally.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience leading M&A, strategic partnerships, or corporate development initiatives in technology, aerospace, defense, or high-growth tech sectors.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence skills with ability to assess complex deals involving intellectual property, revenue streams, and regulatory considerations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities to engage executives, investors, legal teams, and government officials.
• Deep understanding of autonomous systems, AI-driven defense technologies, and evolving national security priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Engineering; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to operate effectively in a remote, fast-paced, mission-driven environment with minimal supervision.
