Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Overhaul Jerry.ai’s entire customer communication strategy by transforming transactional, functional messaging into empathetic, relationship-driven copy across CRM, email, SMS, and in-app channels.
- • Define and establish Jerry’s brand voice from scratch in partnership with the CEO, creating a cohesive personality and tone that resonates emotionally with car owners facing stressful, dry topics like insurance, repairs, and loans.
- • Craft compelling narratives that turn mundane or anxiety-inducing car ownership experiences into moments of trust, clarity, and even reassurance, making complex topics accessible and human.
- • Collaborate directly with Product, Design, Growth, and Customer Insights teams to deeply understand user pain points, qualitative feedback, and behavioral data, translating them into emotionally intelligent copy that drives engagement and long-term loyalty.
- • Own the end-to-end creation of customer-facing content for organic channels, ensuring every word — from push notifications to error messages — reflects a consistent, values-aligned voice that builds brand affinity.
- • Lead the evolution of Jerry’s organic growth strategy by expanding beyond lifecycle communications to include social media content, community engagement (e.g., Reddit), and other non-paid, high-touch touchpoints that foster trust and community.
- • Challenge data-centric team norms by advocating for the intangible but critical impact of brand experience, using storytelling to influence product decisions, feature launches, and customer journeys.
- • Conduct continuous testing and iteration of messaging frameworks to identify what emotionally connects with audiences, measuring not just open rates or clicks, but sentiment, retention, and brand perception.
- • Maintain a relentless focus on audience empathy, ensuring every piece of copy addresses real human needs — not just functional outcomes — and avoids clichés or robotic corporate language.
- • Build and refine content playbooks that standardize tone, grammar, and emotional intent across departments and future hires, laying the foundation for a scalable, authentic brand identity.
- • Work autonomously in a high-growth startup environment where ambiguity is constant, prioritizing impact over process and moving quickly without a pre-existing brand playbook.
- • Position Jerry as the compassionate, intelligent companion in car ownership, not just another service provider, by infusing every interaction with warmth, wit, and wisdom tailored to the realities of modern drivers.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in creative marketing with a primary focus on organic growth and copywriting
- • Proven track record crafting high-performing copy for email, SMS, and social media channels with consumer brands
- • Demonstrated ability to translate complex, dry, or emotionally charged topics (e.g., insurance, finance, maintenance) into engaging, human-centered narratives
- • Bachelor's Degree
- • Portfolio showcasing creative writing and branding work across digital customer touchpoints
- • Experience working in fast-growing startups where ambiguity is high and brand voice must be built from zero
🏖️ Benefits
- • Health, dental, and vision coverage
- • Paid time off
- • Paid parental leave
- • 401(k) plan with employer matching
- • Wellness benefits
- • Equity grant opportunities
