📋 Description

• The Credit Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring credit risks are appropriately monitored and managed, providing second-line oversight and independent validation of credit risk across the bank’s total portfolio to support Allica Bank’s mission of serving established SMEs.
• Day to day, the role involves developing and implementing credit risk assurance plans, overseeing 1LOD compliance with credit policy and lending standards, setting governance requirements, providing integrated reporting on credit risk profiles, liaising with stakeholders on thematic reviews and ad-hoc file assessments, reviewing assurance risk metrics (including credit quality at origination and in-life stewardship), and participating in due diligence for potential portfolio acquisitions.
• Allica Bank’s Risk Department operates as the 2nd Line of Defence (2LOD), providing robust support, insightful challenge, and comprehensive oversight to the 1st Line of Defence while aligning with strategic objectives in a controlled, risk-conscious manner, empowered to drive innovation in risk management.
• In this role, the individual will develop expertise in credit risk assurance within SME markets, gain experience in validating credit quality across portfolios, enhance skills in translating risk model outputs (PD & LGD) into stakeholder reports, and contribute to shaping governance frameworks that support sustainable lending and regulatory compliance.
