- • As a Cree Interpreter with LanguageLine Solutions, you will provide essential language services that break communication barriers for limited-English speakers and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing across critical sectors including healthcare, emergency services, government, and business.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include responding promptly to on-demand interpreting calls, accurately rendering meaning between Cree and English speakers, maintaining professionalism and cultural sensitivity, and handling emotionally charged or high-stress situations such as 911 calls or medical consultations without omission or addition.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in both Cree and English, including understanding of regional accents, cultural dynamics, and ability to assess linguistic nuances for effective communication.
- • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure high accuracy during interpretation, along with the ability to remain neutral, objective, and detached from sensitive conversations.
- • Must be at least 18 years old, legally authorized to work in Canada, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in teaching, translation, interpretation, or language assessment is preferred.
- • Access to a dedicated personal device (Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS laptop/desktop, iPadOS/Android tablet, or iOS/Android smartphone) with a quiet workspace, high-speed internet (minimum 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, <300 ms ping, <30 ms jitter), and no use of restricted brands (Kaspersky or Huawei).
