ďż˝ Description
- • Own end-to-end quality assurance for Token Metrics’ crypto-analytics SaaS platform, used by thousands of investors in 50+ countries to make million-dollar decisions every day.
- • Design and execute holistic test strategies that span functional, regression, security, performance, and usability layers for Next.js / TypeScript web apps, GraphQL & REST APIs, and real-time data pipelines ingesting on-chain metrics.
- • Build and maintain an automated test framework with Reflect.Run, Cypress, and Playwright, orchestrated through GitHub Actions; achieve >80 % coverage on critical user flows while keeping build times under 10 minutes.
- • Craft data-driven API test suites in Postman and Newman that validate price-feed accuracy, portfolio calculations, and wallet-connection flows across 20+ chains; gate releases on 0-critical-defect policy.
- • Run weekly security drills—OWASP Top-10 scans, penetration tests, and key-management audits—partnering with internal blockchain engineers to harden smart-contract interactions and custody integrations.
- • Simulate high-volatility market conditions with k6 and Locust to ensure the platform stays sub-second responsive when traffic spikes 10× during BTC volatility events; document SLIs/SLOs and publish post-mortems.
- • Champion the voice of the degen: monitor Discord, Twitter, and Token Metrics’ own community portal, translating user pain points into targeted test scenarios that prevent costly trading miscalculations.
- • Coordinate continuous UX experiments using Maze, Lookback, and Split.io feature flags; ship A/B tests that have lifted conversion by double digits while maintaining zero-downtime deployments.
- • Collaborate in agile squads with PMs, designers, and quant researchers; participate in sprint planning, story mapping, and “bug bashes,” ensuring every story meets Definition of Done before it reaches production.
- • Maintain a living knowledge base of test cases, defect trends, and crypto-specific edge cases (re-orgs, gas spikes, token migrations) so the team moves faster with each release.
- • Mentor junior QA contractors, review pull requests for test code, and evangelize quality culture across the company—because when our AI predictions are wrong, real money is lost.
ďż˝ Requirements
- • 3+ years of QA engineering on cloud-native SaaS products, including at least 1 year testing crypto, fintech, or high-frequency data applications.
- • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, or similar modern automation frameworks.
- • Proficiency in API testing (REST & GraphQL) using Postman/Newman and ability to write pre-request/test scripts in JavaScript.
- • Solid grasp of GCP services (Cloud Run, BigQuery, Secret Manager) and CI/CD workflows in GitHub Actions.
- • Demonstrated passion for crypto—active wallet, DeFi/NFT user, or contributor to crypto communities; you know why EIP-1559 matters.
️ Benefits
- • Competitive USD salary paid in crypto or fiat—your choice.
- • 100 % remote, set-your-own-hours culture; work from any non-US location with quarterly co-working retreats.
- • Unlimited vacation policy plus local public holidays; minimum 15 days encouraged.
- • $1,200 annual learning stipend for courses, conferences, or hardware wallets.
