  • • The Customer Happiness Technical Specialist at Patreon’s Memberful product plays a critical role in ensuring creators and their fans have seamless, positive experiences by resolving complex technical issues with empathy and precision. This role directly supports Patreon’s mission to fund the creative class by enabling creators to focus on their work while Memberful handles the technical infrastructure behind memberships, payments, and integrations.
  • • You will be the trusted technical advocate for customers, translating complex platform behaviors into clear, actionable guidance while collaborating with engineering to improve product stability and usability—turning frustration into confidence and loyalty.
  • • Providing timely, empathetic support via help desk for onboarding, configuration, and advanced technical questions across WordPress, APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations like Mailchimp, Discord, and Zapier.
  • • Becoming a subject-matter expert on Memberful’s WordPress integration, including troubleshooting plugin conflicts, theme compatibility, caching layers, and hosting environment quirks to resolve root-cause issues efficiently.
  • • Reproducing, diagnosing, and isolating technical bugs before escalating to engineering, ensuring tickets are well-documented and prioritized for faster resolution.
  • • Collaborating closely with on-call engineers to triage and manage high-priority technical tickets, acting as the bridge between customer pain points and product improvements.
  • • Creating and maintaining help documentation, troubleshooting guides, and educational content that empowers customers to self-serve and reduces repeat inquiries.
  • • Gathering, synthesizing, and communicating customer feature requests and usage insights to product and engineering teams to inform roadmap decisions.
  • • Assisting prospective customers in evaluating whether Memberful aligns with their technical and business needs through consultative, solution-oriented conversations.
  • • Driving operational excellence by identifying opportunities to introduce automation, AI-assisted tools, and process improvements that reduce manual toil and elevate the team’s capacity for high-impact work.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Experience supporting a SaaS product in a technical capacity, including troubleshooting user-facing issues involving configurations, integrations, or platform behavior.
  • • Strong WordPress experience, including theme and plugin configuration, troubleshooting common conflicts, understanding caching layers, and navigating various hosting environments.
  • • Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical users through clear, empathetic written communication—essential for helping creators understand and resolve issues without jargon.
  • • Located in the United States and available to work Pacific hours or late-day EST to align with team collaboration windows and customer support needs.
