- • As a Customer Success Manager at PitchBook, you will play a pivotal role in driving client retention and expansion by ensuring strategic accounts derive maximum value from the PitchBook platform, directly contributing to the company’s growth and market leadership in financial data intelligence.
- • You will serve as the primary product expert and trusted advisor for a dedicated portfolio of high-value clients, guiding them through onboarding, training, and ongoing engagement to align platform usage with their business objectives in private equity, venture capital, and M&A.
- • You will collaborate closely with Account Managers and cross-functional teams to analyze customer health data, identify expansion opportunities, and advocate for client needs within product development and service delivery.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include onboarding new clients, conducting tailored training sessions (including in-person), leading formal business reviews to assess renewal probability and goal achievement, and proactively addressing underutilized features to boost adoption and satisfaction.
- • You will leverage tools like Catalyst and Tableau to log interactions, monitor usage trends, and generate insights that inform retention strategies, while documenting all client touchpoints to enhance relationship intelligence and internal knowledge sharing.
- • Regular engagement with clients via personalized emails and Highspot-delivered marketing materials will be key to driving product awareness and encouraging deeper platform utilization across teams and use cases.
- • You will continuously develop your expertise in the private equity and venture capital landscape, learning how PitchBook’s data and workflows support deal sourcing, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and fundraising activities for diverse client types.
- • By modeling PitchBook’s values of curiosity, collaboration, and customer-centricity, you will contribute to a culture of excellence and help shape best practices within the Customer Success organization.
- • This role offers significant professional growth through exposure to global financial markets, advanced CRM and analytics tools, and mentorship opportunities within Morningstar’s expansive network of learning and development programs.
- • You will build deep, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders in finance and investment firms, refining your consultative selling, strategic thinking, and cross-cultural communication skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree preferred
- • 2+ years of customer success or account management experience
- • Fluency in Japanese and English
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to quickly learn new systems like Catalyst, Tableau, and Highspot
- • Authorization to work in Japan without visa sponsorship now or in the future
