📋 Description

• The Cyber Security Advisor plays a pivotal role in protecting Assurant’s digital infrastructure and safeguarding critical assets by developing and maintaining a robust security architecture aligned with business objectives and threat landscapes.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include developing security strategy plans and roadmaps, establishing baseline security configurations for systems and networks, conducting risk assessments, validating security controls across firewalls, cloud platforms, and endpoint protection, and collaborating with business and technical teams to balance security with innovation.
• The role operates within Assurant’s global security team, partnering with Compliance, Vendor Risk, Engineering, Incident Management, and other stakeholders to ensure enterprise-wide security posture enhancement through cross-functional collaboration and expert guidance.
• The incumbent will deepen expertise in enterprise security architecture, influence organizational security strategy, mentor stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement of security frameworks while gaining exposure to global compliance standards and emerging threats.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT, Information Security, Compliance, Audit, Risk, or related fields with broad exposure to risk management, application development, systems analysis, infrastructure, and cloud services.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams or projects.
• Minimum of one major cybersecurity certification (CISSP, CEH, CISM, ISCP, CCFP, or equivalent).
