- • Serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to Optiv clients by designing scalable, highly defensible security programs aligned with client objectives and risk appetite.
- • Provide expert guidance in one or more domains: Data Protection & AI, Cloud Security/DevSecOps, Endpoint Security, Identity, Network Security, Offensive Security, or Operations (SOC, SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, Threat Intelligence).
- • Partner with account teams to drive services and technology sales, meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual quota objectives using Optiv’s Standardized Sales Operating Processes (SOPs).
- • Analyze client security environments, business operations, and strategic goals to identify security concerns and correlate them with Optiv’s solutions and partner technologies.
- • Facilitate thought leadership by leveraging industry knowledge, peer networks, and Optiv’s ecosystem of products and partners to inspire and shape client cybersecurity strategies.
- • Qualify leads and collaborate with internal teams to define scope, develop proposals, manage RFI/RFP responses, and close sales opportunities across Optiv’s full portfolio.
- • Articulate the value of Optiv’s technology and services to executive-level client stakeholders through clear, compelling presentations and whiteboard sessions.
- • Maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders and Optiv technology partners to ensure alignment on spend, strategy, and solution delivery.
- • Conduct requirements gathering, technology selection analysis, and coordinate demonstrations and evaluations to support client decision-making.
- • Interface with Optiv’s service delivery teams to align client expectations with solution capabilities and ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
- • Participate in account planning, forecasting, and pipeline management activities to support sales strategy and revenue growth.
- • Review and ensure accuracy of statements of work (SOWs), quotes, and client deliverables with strong attention to detail.
- • Stay current on industry trends, threat landscapes, vulnerabilities, and defensive controls to provide timely, informed guidance to clients and internal teams.
- • Pursue continuous professional development through certifications, formal education, and skill-building to maintain technical and advisory expertise.
- • Apply proficient sales techniques including probing questions, objection handling, trust-building, solution positioning, and closing negotiations.
- • Travel up to 25% or as needed to support client engagements and internal initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of five (5) years in an information security role focused on Identity and Access Management, preferably as a consulting advisor, architect, or engineer.
- • BS/BA or equivalent and/or applicable work experience.
- • CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM, GIAC, or other relevant professional cybersecurity certifications preferred.
- • Vendor-specific certification(s) focused primarily on the specialty domain.
- • Ability to travel up to 25% or as needed.
- • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills, including experience speaking and evangelizing technology vision at events.
