📋 Description
- • Collaborate directly with colleagues to solve business problems through technical implementations on Potloc’s survey platform, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and client needs.
- • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the company’s GraphQL API, service architecture, queuing system, and database systems, ensuring scalability and reliability for high-volume B2B and B2C data processing.
- • Implement and refine the internal design system to uphold modern frontend practices and ensure consistency across user-facing features.
- • Deploy and maintain Ruby on Rails applications in production environments using Ruby 3.4 and Rails 8.1, setting the standard for code quality and system performance.
- • Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools (LLMs) daily in development workflows, actively improving team efficiency and promoting best practices in AI-augmented coding.
- • Mentor team members and serve as a subject matter expert in a specific technical domain, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- • Balance rapid iteration with deliberate alignment, knowing when to move quickly and when to document and gain consensus on technical proposals.
- • Contribute to the evaluation and integration of open-source API gems to enhance platform functionality while maintaining security and maintainability.
- • Support internal users in designing and optimizing multi-channel campaigns, monitoring targeted quotas, and generating high-quality, representative respondent samples through robust backend systems.
- • Work within a hybrid work environment based in Montréal, contributing to a modern, bright, and collaborative workspace in the Mile-End neighborhood.
- • Participate in a structured career development process with performance evaluations every six months to guide professional growth and goal setting.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in Ruby, specifically with Ruby 3.4 and Rails 8.1
- • Proven experience deploying and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications in production environments
- • Strong system design fundamentals, including API design, database modeling, and technical trade-off analysis
- • Comfortable using AI coding tools (LLMs) daily and opinionated about their effective application
- • Experience contributing to a design system and frontend best practices
- • Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure maintenance
