- • The Damage Prevention Technician II role is critical to protecting Zayo’s underground infrastructure by accurately locating and marking utilities to prevent damage during excavation and construction, ensuring network integrity and public safety.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing blueprints to identify construction zones, locating and mapping fiber optic and underground utilities using electrical, magnetic, GPS, and radar techniques, documenting findings in digital platforms, communicating with engineers and clients, maintaining tools and equipment, inspecting sites in various weather conditions, coordinating material logistics, and monitoring vendor/contractor work.
