📋 Description

• As a Data Analyst II at Bestow Inc., you will play a critical role in modernizing the life insurance industry by building reliable data solutions that power analytics and reporting for carrier partners and internal teams.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining dbt models, writing SQL to validate data sources and answer stakeholder questions, implementing data quality checks, documenting metrics and lineage, collaborating with analysts and business teams to deliver production-ready data products, and leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency while maintaining high standards.
• You will join the highly visible Analytics team at Bestow, a company that serves as a leading vertical technology platform for major life insurers, unifying legacy systems to enable faster product launches through AI and automation, backed by top investors and trusted by industry leaders.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern data stack technologies (SQL, dbt, cloud warehouses), strengthen your ability to translate technical work for non-technical audiences, gain experience with AI-assisted development practices, and contribute to high-impact data products that drive decisions across the organization.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, or a similar role with heavy SQL use
• Hands-on experience with dbt (or an equivalent transformation framework) in a cloud data warehouse
• Comfortable explaining technical work to non-technical partners and collaborating through code review
• Self-directed: you spot problems, propose fixes, and follow through without waiting for perfect instructions
• Thoughtful about data quality, governance, and how your work affects downstream dashboards and decisions
• Demonstrated experience with agentic AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) integrated into your daily workflow
