📋 Description
- • Build and maintain data models and transformations that power customer-facing reporting within the Skimmer product using Fivetran transformations, dbt, and Sigma Computing materializations
- • Develop and manage embedded analytics experiences in Sigma Computing that are integrated directly into the Skimmer application for pool professionals
- • Manage and extend data ingestion pipelines using Fivetran across an expanding set of data sources
- • Write and maintain data transformations in Python and SQL against a Snowflake data warehouse
- • Partner with product and engineering teams to translate customer needs into reliable, high-performance reporting solutions
- • Collaborate with application engineers to understand source systems and ensure accurate, clean data capture from C#/.NET environments
- • Monitor data quality, report performance, and troubleshoot issues affecting data reliability and user experience
- • Document data models, definitions, and architecture to support team scalability and knowledge sharing
- • Own end-to-end delivery of data infrastructure with a focus on validation, performance, and documented requirements
- • Work autonomously with high judgment, proactively identifying ambiguity and seeking clarity from stakeholders before implementation
- • Apply AI coding tools like Claude or Cursor to increase efficiency and output quality in daily data engineering tasks
- • Ensure adherence to ELT/ETL best practices and robust data modeling standards across all data pipelines
- • Contribute to maintaining high engineering standards through rigorous code review processes and team collaboration
- • Support the development of data products in a SaaS environment with a product-led growth model
- • Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to align data solutions with business objectives
🎯 Requirements
- • Demonstrated experience in data engineering with end-to-end ownership of data infrastructure
- • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse
- • Proficiency in Python for data transformation and automation
- • Experience with managed ingestion and transformation tools such as Fivetran and dbt
- • Experience building data models and reports in a BI/analytics platform like Sigma Computing, especially in embedded customer-facing products
- • Experience partnering with application engineers in C#/.NET environments to ensure reliable data capture
