📋 Description

  • iRestore Laser LLC is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Data Engineer, also referred to as an Analytics Engineer, to spearhead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of our comprehensive business intelligence (BI) infrastructure. This pivotal role will encompass ownership of our entire BI stack, from the foundational data warehouse (BigQuery) to the critical layers of reporting and visualization (Looker Studio), and extending into advanced data modeling. The ultimate goal is to empower data-informed decision-making across all departments of our rapidly growing company.
  • You will be instrumental in driving iRestore's mission to restore confidence by providing safe and effective solutions in the wellness and beauty space. As we scale, your expertise will directly contribute to unlocking growth opportunities, optimizing operational performance, and enhancing customer satisfaction through robust data solutions.
  • This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering a pathway to a permanent role for the right candidate who demonstrates exceptional performance and cultural fit.
  • As the technical owner of the team's data stack, you will be responsible for the implementation of cutting-edge tools and systems for data tracking, reporting, and automation. This includes setting up and maintaining critical integrations such as tracking pixels, server-to-server (S2S) connections, and event tracking systems, all of which are vital for supporting and measuring the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
  • A key responsibility will be to build and maintain robust data pipelines designed for real-time reporting on marketing spend and performance across various digital platforms. This will provide immediate insights into campaign effectiveness and allow for agile adjustments.
  • You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing sophisticated attribution models. These models are essential for accurately measuring the impact of marketing efforts and identifying areas for improvement to maximize return on investment (ROI).
  • Acting as the primary technical point of contact (POC) for the User Acquisition team, you will be the go-to expert for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to tracking implementation, data naming conventions, URL parameters, and API integrations. This will often involve close coordination with external partners and vendors to ensure seamless data flow.
  • You will develop and implement innovative automation solutions aimed at significantly improving the productivity and efficiency of the User Acquisition team, freeing them up to focus on strategic initiatives.
  • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, Customer Experience, and Creative, to support their respective marketing initiatives and to swiftly resolve any technical challenges that arise.
  • Furthermore, you will build and maintain essential data pipelines for inventory forecasting across our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) channels, such as Shopify, and our various marketplaces including Amazon and TikTok Shop. This will directly support the Operations and Logistics teams in their marketing-aligned planning, ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient supply chain management.
  • The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong execution focus, capable of bridging deep technical expertise with a clear understanding of business objectives. 🎯 Requirements

  • 4+ years of proven experience in data engineering, with a strong preference for experience within eCommerce or technology industries.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and demonstrated expertise in data warehouse modeling techniques.
  • Hands-on experience managing and optimizing cloud data warehouses such as Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or other Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) data warehouse solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and pipeline development.
  • Experience with modern data stack tools including dbt, Airflow, and data visualization platforms like Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio), Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of marketing data ecosystems, encompassing APIs, tracking pixels, server-to-server (S2S) integrations, and event tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with key eCommerce platforms and marketing tools such as Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Google Ads, and Meta Ads.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
