- • Design, build, and maintain scalable data warehouses and pipelines to support Plaud’s AI-driven productivity platform used by over 2 million users worldwide.
- • Collaborate closely with product, operations, data analysts, and algorithm engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.
- • Implement and enforce data governance practices including metadata management, data security protocols, cost optimization strategies, and data lineage tracking.
- • Platformize and productize data development tools for scheduling, monitoring, data quality checks (DQC), SLA enforcement, and data synchronization across systems.
- • Optimize performance of ETL/ELT workflows using Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, MapReduce, Yarn, Hive) and at least one distributed computing engine (Spark or Flink).
- • Apply deep expertise in data modeling techniques to ensure accurate, reusable, and efficient data structures aligned with business intelligence needs.
- • Leverage data platform tools to automate and standardize data development workflows, improving team efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
- • Ensure compliance with global data privacy and security standards including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, and EN 18031 in all data infrastructure decisions.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Plaud’s intelligence infrastructure by capturing, extracting, and utilizing structured and unstructured data from user interactions across devices.
- • Participate in global cross-functional teams, using English as the primary communication language to align on data strategy and execution.
- • Utilize cutting-edge AI tools such as Cursor, GPT models, Gemini, and Claude to enhance data engineering efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.
- • Maintain and improve data platform reliability, scalability, and observability to support Plaud’s $250M annual revenue run rate and rapid global expansion.
- • Advocate for best practices in data engineering, including version control, testing, documentation, and continuous integration for data pipelines.
- • Work with top-spec hardware including high-performance workstations and Plaud-branded devices to maximize productivity and system performance.
- • Engage in annual company offsites and team-building events within a culture that emphasizes craftsmanship, ownership, and velocity.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 3 years of experience in data warehouse development
- • Deep understanding of data warehouse theory, including data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data governance
- • Proficient in the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, MapReduce, Yarn, Hive) and at least one distributed computing engine (Spark or Flink) with performance tuning experience
- • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
- • Skilled in using data platform tools for scheduling, metadata, lineage, data synchronization, DQC, and SLA management
- • Proficient in English communication for global collaboration
