Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Support and maintain data analytics tools by troubleshooting dashboard inaccuracies, guiding users on analytics usage, and implementing improvements to enhance dashboard effectiveness.
  • • Investigate data quality issues by performing deep-dive analysis using SQL and Python to trace anomalies back to their source in ERP, MES, QMS, or inventory systems.
  • • Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and speed, ensuring consistent and timely delivery of analytics to factory-floor users.
  • • Drive technical improvements by implementing automated data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring systems directly within data pipelines to prevent recurring issues.
  • • Enable self-service analytics by building clean, well-structured datasets that empower cross-functional teams to create reliable dashboards, reports, and machine learning models independently.
  • • Lead end-to-end data projects from requirements gathering through deployment, collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and program quality leads to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • • Build AI-assisted tools using Palantir Foundry Workshop, AIP, or similar platforms to automate repetitive analyst tasks, aiming to reduce manual effort by 10x.
  • • Conduct capability discovery by partnering with program quality leads who are unfamiliar with Quality Intelligence capabilities, translating operational problems into existing or quickly configurable data products.
  • • Work directly on the manufacturing floor to observe production processes, ask questions about parts and workflows, and ensure data schemas reflect real-world operations.
  • • Use AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, AIP) daily to draft pipelines, write tests, generate dashboards, explore data, and accelerate development—while critically reviewing and validating all AI-generated output.
  • • Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, explaining complex data anomalies to directors without jargon and to engineers with precision.
  • • Maintain documentation and knowledge sharing via Confluence to ensure team continuity and reduce onboarding friction.
  • • Travel approximately 10–20% to manufacturing and remote sites to support on-site data investigations and stakeholder collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field—or equivalent practical experience
  • • 3+ years in a hands-on data role: Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, or similar
  • • Production experience with Palantir Foundry, Databricks, Snowflake + dbt, or an equivalent cloud lakehouse platform
  • • Strong SQL skills on large, multi-source datasets including joins across heterogeneous systems, window functions, and performance tuning
  • • Strong Python skills for data transformation and scripting using Pandas, PySpark, or equivalent
  • • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR/export control regulations

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Highly competitive equity grants included in full-time offers
  • • Comprehensive, competitive benefits package available at little to no cost to employees
