  • • As a Data Governance Analyst specializing in Workday, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of critical HR and Payroll data across Medline's global HR systems. This pivotal role demands a meticulous approach to data management, with a significant emphasis on SOX compliance, audit readiness, and the establishment of robust reporting controls. You will act as a key liaison, bridging the gap between various departments including HR Shared Services (HRSS), HR Technology, Internal Audit, Finance, Payroll, and IT. Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex regulatory and audit requirements into actionable, sustainable data governance practices and control mechanisms that span our entire HR technology landscape.
  • • In the realm of HR Data Governance & Controls, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive HR data governance standards. This includes defining clear data ownership, establishing precise data definitions, and meticulously documenting control frameworks within our core HR systems, specifically Workday and UKG. A core part of your role will involve proactively monitoring data quality, ensuring completeness, and verifying consistency across all Workday modules. You will collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to swiftly identify and resolve any data integrity issues, ensuring that our data is always reliable and accurate. Furthermore, you will actively participate in and support governance forums, contributing to critical decision-making processes related to HR data standards and policies.
  • • Your contribution to SOX Compliance & Audit Support will be vital. You will play a key role in supporting the design, documentation, and rigorous testing of SOX controls specifically related to our HR Systems. This involves developing and critically evaluating Workday reports that serve as essential audit evidence or key controls, ensuring their accuracy and effectiveness. You will conduct thorough walkthroughs and control assessments for all HR and HRSS processes, identifying potential risks and areas for improvement. In partnership with Internal Audit, you will prepare comprehensive audit documentation and develop effective remediation plans to address any identified gaps. A critical responsibility will be to meticulously track audit findings and ensure the timely and effective implementation of corrective actions.
  • • In terms of Workday Reporting & Security, you will leverage your technical skills to develop and validate a wide array of Workday reports, including Advanced, Composite, and Dashboard reports, ensuring they meet business and audit requirements. You will meticulously review calculated fields, data sources, and business process frameworks to ensure accuracy and compliance. Collaborating closely with Security Administrators, you will validate role-based access controls and critically assess segregation of duties to mitigate risks. A key function will be to reconcile Workday outputs with downstream systems, ensuring data consistency across the enterprise. You will also champion report standardization initiatives aimed at reducing audit risk and enhancing efficiency.
  • • Your role as a Cross-Functional Partner will be central to the success of data governance initiatives. You will serve as the primary HR Systems/HRSS point of contact for all audit and compliance-related activities, fostering strong working relationships. You will collaborate extensively with Internal Audit, Finance, Payroll, IT, and external auditors, providing expert guidance and support. Your insights will be invaluable in advising teams on audit readiness expectations and data governance best practices. You will also actively support broader HRIS initiatives, focusing on automating controls and optimizing reporting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and maintain the integrity of HR data within a dynamic and growing organization, ensuring compliance and enabling data-driven decision-making.
