📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end data ingestion strategy for Revinate’s Customer Data Platform, ensuring that every reservation, guest profile, and loyalty touchpoint from 120+ hotel partners arrives on time, in the right format, and at petabyte scale.
• • Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of 10+ data integration engineers while remaining a hands-on technical contributor—reviewing pull requests, writing proof-of-concept code in Java/Scala, and jumping into incident bridges when pipelines break at 2 a.m.
• • Define and socialize a 12- to 18-month technical roadmap that balances immediate customer onboarding needs with long-term architectural investments such as real-time streaming via Kafka, cloud-native ELT on Snowflake, and AI-assisted mapping tools that cut implementation time in half.
• • Establish iron-clad data-quality SLAs (≥99.9% accuracy, ≤5-minute end-to-end latency) by building automated validation suites, anomaly-detection dashboards, and self-healing pipelines that page the on-call engineer before a hotel revenue manager even notices a missing folio.
• • Act as the primary integration liaison to Product, Customer Success, and senior leadership—translating vague requirements like “make the data faster” into crisp Jira epics, sprint plans, and measurable OKRs that everyone can rally behind.
• • Architect resilient ingestion patterns (batch, micro-batch, and streaming) that gracefully handle everything from a 10-record boutique upload to a 50-million-row mega-resort backfill without throttling downstream analytics or inflating cloud costs.
• • Champion modern DevOps practices: CI/CD for Airflow DAGs, blue-green deployments for Spark jobs, Terraform modules for infrastructure, and blameless post-mortems that turn every Sev-1 into a learning opportunity.
• • Evaluate bleeding-edge integration technologies—think Fivetran HVR, Airbyte, or AI-powered schema inference—and present quarterly “build vs. buy vs. partner” recommendations to the CTO with clear ROI models and migration timelines.
• • Reduce partner onboarding from weeks to days by creating self-service portals, reusable connectors, and automated certification tests that let Customer Success teams stand up new hotels without writing a single line of code.
• • Collaborate with Data Architects to evolve our canonical guest profile model, ensuring that new attributes (mobile app events, spa spend, golf tee times) can be retrofitted without painful schema migrations or breaking existing ML features.
• • Build and maintain a cost-aware culture: monitor Snowflake credits, S3 egress, and Kafka partition counts; institute charge-back dashboards so every engineering squad knows the dollar impact of their design choices.
• • Foster an inclusive, high-trust environment where engineers feel safe to experiment, fail fast, and present wild ideas—whether that’s a Rust-based sidecar for ultra-low-latency parsing or a GPT-powered mapping assistant.
• • Represent Revinate at industry meetups and hospitality-tech conferences, sharing how we move 5 TB of nightly PMS data with zero downtime and why data integration is the secret weapon behind direct-booking revenue growth.
• • Keep your hands dirty: when a legacy partner switches from CSV dumps to a GraphQL endpoint overnight, you’ll be shoulder-to-shoulder with your team writing the new connector, updating Terraform, and shepherding the change through QA, staging, and prod—all before the next revenue forecast lock.
