- • Join 9fin, a rapidly growing AI platform revolutionizing the global debt markets, the world's largest asset class valued at over $145 trillion. We are transforming fragmented data, manual workflows, and outdated infrastructure into a unified platform that centralizes proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows. Our solution empowers over 300 blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors, enabling them to operate with speed and confidence.
- • As a Data Operations Associate, you will be an integral part of our dedicated Data Operations team based in Belfast. This team is crucial for enhancing our data processing capabilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, lightning-fast data that is the bedrock of our platform's success. You will collaborate closely with dynamic teams located in New York, London, and Belfast, contributing to critical areas such as Leveraged Finance, Structured Credit, Private Credit, and Distressed Debt.
- • Your daily responsibilities will be diverse and challenging, reflecting the fast-paced nature of financial markets. You will leverage proprietary technology and in-house tools, including navigating HTML, to automate publishing processes and streamline data workflows. A key aspect of your role will involve monitoring and reviewing market-moving news, identifying price-sensitive information within articles surfaced by our sophisticated in-house aggregator.
- • You will be responsible for tracking financial results and company performance, ensuring that crucial updates on earnings publications and corporate disclosures are made in a timely manner. This includes taking ownership of a specific portfolio of companies within an industry, meticulously maintaining and updating all investor relations details. You will proactively monitor and record key reporting dates, guaranteeing their accuracy on both internal systems and client-facing platforms.
- • Furthermore, you will analyze new deal terms and structures, acting swiftly to alert clients to significant market developments. Staying ahead of the curve is essential, so you will keep track of company ratings changes, ensuring these are accurately reflected in our systems. You will also publish structured credit updates, covering CLO deal alerts and other movements within the structured credit market.
- • Your role will extend to monitoring redemptions and maturities, conducting thorough checks on bond and loan redemptions, and updating relevant datasets and client alerts accordingly. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain deep insights into the workings of global debt markets and to contribute directly to the success of a leading financial technology company.
- • The ideal candidate is a graduate or recent graduate with a strong aptitude for teamwork, a commitment to continuous learning, and exceptional attention to detail. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to quickly identify and act upon key information. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, you can efficiently monitor multiple information sources and make rapid, informed decisions. Your ability to prioritize competing tasks ensures that critical duties are handled with efficiency and timeliness.
- • While prior financial market knowledge is not a prerequisite, a keen curiosity about how markets, companies, and financial news interact is highly valued. We encourage individuals who are willing to challenge the status quo and propose innovative improvements. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for conveying information clearly and concisely.
- • Due to our global operations, this role requires flexibility with a rotational shift pattern, alternating between EU (9 AM – 6 PM UK time) and US (1 PM – 10 PM UK time) working hours. The specific schedule will be determined by the team, and you should be comfortable with these varied working hours. This role is particularly well-suited for individuals with backgrounds in business, data analytics, journalism, or similar disciplines that emphasize strong analytical and communication abilities. Above all, we seek individuals who can operate at pace, discern critical information, and adapt swiftly in a dynamic and evolving market landscape.
