📋 Description
- • As a Data Operations Lead at HappyRobot AI Inc., you will serve as the critical bridge between research objectives and operational execution, driving the end-to-end lifecycle of data collection and annotation for industry-leading AI audio models.
- • You will translate complex research needs into actionable data specifications, manage data acquisition workflows, lead in-house and third-party labeling teams, and continuously optimize tooling and processes to scale data operations efficiently.
- • You will work closely with Engineering and Research teams within a high-growth, Y Combinator-backed AI startup that has raised over $60M from top-tier investors like a16z and Base10, powering autonomous AI workforces for global enterprises.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in AI data operations, leadership, and process optimization while contributing to cutting-edge audio AI technology and growing a high-performing data labeling team in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Detail-oriented with expertise in translating research requirements into precise data specifications and labeling workflows
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with researchers, manage vendors, and lead large labeling teams
- • Proven ability to manage end-to-end data operations including acquisition, annotation, quality control, and delivery timelines
- • Experience leading, training, and scaling teams of data labelers, either in-house or through third-party vendors
- • Analytical mindset with a first-principles approach to solving complex operational challenges
- • Passion for audio AI and motivation to work autonomously in a fast-moving, high-impact startup environment
