đź“‹ Description

  • • Join Scale Army as a Data Ops Specialist and become an integral part of an innovative technology company that leverages AI to empower organizations with data-driven decision-making. In this fully remote role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of large-scale data pipelines, specifically those involving the intricate process of government website scraping.
  • • Your primary mission will be to meticulously monitor ongoing data collection systems, acting as the vigilant guardian of data integrity. This involves proactively identifying and addressing any issues that could compromise the reliability of our scraping operations, such as broken links, unexpected website structural changes, or shifts in data formats. You will be at the forefront of maintaining the health and performance of these critical data streams.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve rigorous quality assurance (QA) and website monitoring. You will conduct regular, in-depth QA checks on the collected datasets, scrutinizing them for any inconsistencies, errors, or deviations from expected patterns. Simultaneously, you will keep a close watch on the external government websites themselves, anticipating and reacting swiftly to any modifications that could impact our scraping pipelines. Your ability to detect subtle changes and promptly flag them to the engineering team will be paramount.
  • • To ensure a high standard of performance, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining robust evaluation benchmarks. These benchmarks will serve as the yardstick against which we measure scraping performance, the completeness of our datasets, and the overall reliability of our data pipelines. This data-driven approach to performance evaluation will be key to continuous improvement.
  • • Your analytical and reporting skills will be put to good use as you analyze datasets to track the progress of scraping initiatives and generate insightful reports. These reports will highlight any anomalies, operational issues, or areas requiring attention, providing essential visibility to stakeholders. You will also maintain clear documentation and reporting systems, ensuring that the health of our pipelines and the progress of our projects are transparent and easily understood.
  • • Effective project and task management will be central to your success. You will manage the tracking of multiple scraping initiatives, ensuring that all tasks, timelines, and deliverables are meticulously organized, clearly defined, and executed according to plan. This organizational prowess will be vital in keeping complex projects on schedule and within scope.
  • • Collaboration and communication are key. When technical issues arise within the data pipelines, you will act as the primary point of contact, communicating clearly and effectively with the engineering team. Your role will involve ensuring that all problems are thoroughly documented and that resolutions are pursued with urgency and efficiency. Furthermore, you will actively seek out and identify opportunities to enhance our monitoring, documentation, and operational processes, contributing to the overall optimization of our data collection workflows.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly expanding AI-driven technology company that operates at the nexus of data infrastructure, advanced analytics, and public data intelligence. You will gain invaluable experience in large-scale operational workflows, collaborate closely with engineering teams, and drive process improvements within a dynamic, data-centric environment. Your work will directly impact the reliability and effectiveness of critical data systems, making a tangible difference in how businesses and institutions leverage data for better decision-making.
  • • Success in this role means ensuring that our scraping pipelines are consistently monitored, well-organized, and highly reliable, with any emerging issues being identified and resolved with speed and efficiency. It means upholding a consistently high standard of data quality through diligent QA checks and performance benchmarking. It also means providing clear, actionable insights through pipeline tracking and reporting, enabling informed decision-making. Your ability to deliver well-documented issue reports to the engineering team will significantly accelerate troubleshooting efforts. Ultimately, success is measured by keeping project timelines on track, ensuring deliverables are met, and maintaining structured, transparent operational workflows that enhance the efficiency of our entire data collection process.
